Affiliate with The Sun Shrine?
Intro
If you want to affiliate with my site you've come to the right place. If you don't know what affiliation is I'll explain xD: it's when two site's agree to advertise each other by putting a button/text that links to the other site. For example: if we were to affiliate I'd put a button that linked to your site and you'd do the same... got it? Good. Now onto the criteria.
Criteria
Of course I'm not going to accept every one that asks for affiliation, that's why it's "asking". Your site must abide to some criteria in order for me to accept it as an affy:
- Must be a website or, in very rare situations, a blog. I won't affiliate with forums when it's something you didn't make yourself :\
- Must have an organized and readable layout with contrast between the background and text colors, difference between normal text and link text. With headings and sub-headings separating the sections and paragraphs so the content isn't just a babble of words.
- Must be Pokémon-related and PG13 or less.
- Must be in English. Even if I could understand your site in Portuguese or Spanish, most of my visitors wouldn't...
- Must have quality content and at least 15 pages of actual content; JavaScript games and stuff like that that you can take from other sites rather than making them yourself don't count.
- I must like it... sorry but if the site's mood doesn't appeal me at all I'm not agreeing to affiliate with a site I don't like.
How to contact
So you know what it takes, now you can
contact me with:
- Your site's URL;
- Your site's button;
- Your site's description.
- Why you want to affiliate with me. (xD I know, I would appreciate if you answered that but it's not necessary.)
I think you're expecting maturity in my reply so make your request mature too: "Y0 man, w4nn4 affy w/ m3h?!" is an example of a request I would definitely turn off due to it's lack of professionalism.
"I liked your site so I was wondering if you were interested in affiliating with me. This is my site's button [insert button] and this is my site's URL if you want to take a look [insert link]. Say something when you've decided. Bye ;)
That request sounded a lot better to me so that's the kind of approach I'm counting on.
Keeping the Affiliation
If I agree to affiliate, your site's button will be up in about 10 minutes after my confirmation e-mail and I don't expect to have to wait more than two or three days for you to do the same... Anyway, I'll remove your button if:
- You don't put a link to my site in a visible place in three days or less
- If the site's link is broken. If you're planing to re-open it soon leave a page explaining that, if you've just changed URL warn me first.
- If you don't update in 3 months. I hate inactive sites that the webmaster/webmistress doesn't put effort in so if it's been 3 months since your last update your button's out :\
